What
are Early Intervention Services?
A network
of services and supports for the families of children, birth to 3
years old, who have delays or disabilities. If you are
concerned about a
child's development -- or want information about how to seek
services -- our site can answer your questions and help you assess
the situation. In
First Steps to
Early Intervention, you'll learn how the system works and find
contact information for our service providers.
When your
child turns 3, the system can assist with the transition to
services provided by your local school district.
Who
are we at Family Link?
We are the New Jersey non-profit agency that administers the
early intervention system
in Essex, Morris, Sussex, Union and Warren counties. If you need
information or assistance,
here's a
list of who to call for help. One of our jobs is to help resolve
conflicts between families and service providers, so we can provide
information about
dispute
resolution. Though much of our funding comes from the state of
New Jersey, we need and
welcome
your support for Family Link.
Am
I all alone in this?
Not at all. Throughout the year, there is a busy schedule of events
that bring together the families of children receiving early
intervention services; this is also the place to find information of
general interest about
activities in the area for parents and families with young
children. For professionals, an ongoing
schedule of trainings and meetings helps us share information
